Be Known To Us!

Just as the Risen Christ appeared to two of his followers on an ordinary dirt road, so does Christ come to us in our ordinary lives. We also can invite Christ to walk with us, and to be more deeply known to us through our reading of Scripture, fellowship and the breaking of bread together. In this way we learn to be Christ to one another, and to “seek and serve Christ in all persons, loving our neighbor as ourselves.” A sermon by the Rev. Dr. Rowena White

What's In A Name?

The Angel Gabriel had announced to both Mary and Joseph that the baby conceived in her by the Holy Spirit would be named “Jesus” because He would save the people from their sins. Without knowledge of how this could be possible, they nevertheless took him to the temple to be circumcised on the eight day after his birth in keeping with the Law of Moses, and to be named.
